Review copies are available, free of charge or postage, given that the journalist is willing to in writing commit to the following three conditions:

1) In case of no evidence of a review exists within 3 months from the sending of the book, the writer automatically commits to paying for the book, in accordance with the bill that shall automatically be sent after 3 months.

2) The journalist shall in the e-mail inquiry indicate the following: How long a review will be written, in what media, and when will the review be coming out. Also, a reference institution, billing address and daytime telephone shall be indicated.

3) East-West Books also expects information about the bibliographic information about the review, as soon as it is published.

If these requirements are fulfilled, EWB Helsinki will be pleased to send a review copy free of charge, within one week after the e-mail inquiry containing the above information.

For accepted manuscripts, we typically offer in countervalue a free high-class layout, free printing, free PR and free 30 writer’s copies of the accepted book, with right to co-sell them with an agreed price. Copyright is shared between East-West Books Helsinki and the author/s, whereas marketing outside the 30 free copies and any revenues remain within the sole responsibility and privilege of East-West Books Helsinki. Partial outside financing and contracts on books that consult private and governmental institutions can be considered.
